The Delegates of the Member Organisations of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) adopted eight resolutions at their Assembly of Delegates in Bratislava/Pozsony/Pressburg, Slovakia, on 15 June 2019.

The education-related resolution of the Rhodes, Kos and the Dodecanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISDER) states that Greece should grant the Turkish minority living in the islands of Rhodes and Kos the right to learn their mother tongue.

The resolution adopted about the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace is also about education rights breaches. The FUEN Assembly of Delegates calls upon Greece to restore autonomy in education to the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace, and to establish bilingual kindergartens within minority schooling system and allow the Turkish community in Western Thrace to establish private bilingual kindergartens.
In the third resolution adopted at the congress FUEN and the NGO “Russian School of Estonia” draw attention to the problems of the Russian national minority in Estonia like estonization of Russian schools, liquidation of Russian administrative districts and the persecution of activists of the Russian community. FUEN urges Estonia to stop the conversion of Russian schools into Estonian schools and to provide the Russian national minority with the opportunity to receive secondary education in Russian language, as well as to stop the persecution of activists of the Russian minority in Estonia.

The purpose of the resolution adopted on behalf of the The Macedonian Association “Ilinden“ - Tirana and the Macedonian national minority in the Republic of Albania is to seek cultural and educational autonomy for the inhabitants of the regions of Golo Brdo, Mala Prespa and Gora in order to preserve the Macedonian culture in these regions inhabited by a purely Macedonian population.

FUEN also adopted a resolution on the situation of the Crimean Tatars recognizing the deportation from Crimea of the Crimean Tatars in 1944 as genocide of the Crimean Tatar people and calls upon the international community represented by international organizations and parliaments of the states to follow their example.

Concerning the situation of the Meskhetian Turks who were deported in 1944 from their ancestral settlement area, now part of Georgia the FUEN calls on the EU member states to define the complete solution of the community’s unresolved issues.
