Mark your calendar, book your flight, and don’t forget to register: the FUEN Congress 2018 in Leeuwarden/Ljouwert, Netherlands is coming soon!

The Federal Union of European Nationalities and our West Frisian member organisation, Ried fan de FryskeBeweging have prepared yet another unforgettable event between 20-24 June in the European Capital of Culture 2018.

We will be waiting for you with a manifold agenda, great cultural moments and meetings with the local community. After the great success of the Minority SafePack campaign it is time to celebrate and work together for many more common achievements. The main topic of our Congress will be the language diversity in Europe, the current situation of the Frisian community in the Netherlands, and sharing good practices and working models in minority protection. The future of the Minority SafePack Initiative will be in the center of the Congress debates, as well as new developments in the field of minority rights in Europe.

The Congress is structured similar to the previous years: Arrival on Wednesday, 20 June 2018 where the traditional Minority Market will take place in the evening. The Congress will start with the official opening on Thursday, 21 June 2018 and continues to Friday, 22 June 2018. The Assembly of Delegates will be held on Saturday, 23 June 2018 followed by a cultural evening, which will conclude the FUEN Congress program.

Registration for the Congress is now open at Participants can choose between the Full Package (which includes 4 nights accommodation in single or double rooms, full board, Congress fee and cultural program etc.), or the packages for three, two, or one night, for only specific days (which also include full board, Congress fee and cultural program etc.).
